Mrs. Henry Krift (nee Anna Brick) died at her home south of this city on Friday, Nov. 14. The deceased was in the best of health two days before her death, when she was taken sick with tonsilitis, and a weak heart caused her death.
Mrs. Krift was born in Kenosha Sept. 24, 1886. When five years old her parents moved to the town of Brighton, where she was married to Mr. Krift on Feb. 21, 1911. They resided there until four years ago, when they came to make their home on the Chas. McCumber farm until she passed away. She leaves to mourn her untimely loss a husband and one daughter, Alma; father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Nic. Brick of this city; and two brothers, Jos. H. Brick of Elk River, Minn., and Frank E. Brick of Kenosha.
On account of the daughter being sick with a slight attack of diphtheria and quarantined, the funeral was private and held at the home where the services were conducted by Rev. P. Dreis of St. Charles church. Interment was had in the local Catholic cemetery.
The near relatives who attended the funeral were: Frank E. Brick, Mrs. John Merten, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Blomenhouse, Mr. and Mrs. Aug. Zimmermann, Kenosha; Mrs. Frank Krift, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schuerman, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Krift, Wheatland; Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Busch, Brighton; Mr. and Mrs. Nic. Brick and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Richter, Burlington.
On account of sickness, Jos. H. Brick of Minnesota was unable to attend the funeral.
The entire community extends sympathy to the bereaved ones.
