Herbert C. Duehring, 81, Burlington, died Friday (May 20, 1988) at Mount Carmel Care Center, Burlington.
The son of the late August and Margaretha (Laufer) Duehring, he was born July 15, 1906, in Fox Point.
He had lived in Waterford and attended school there. He lived in Burlington for 52 years.
On Jan. 20, 1936, he married Alma Krift at St. Charles Catholic Church, Burlington. She preceded him in death on April 29, 1987.
He was a self-employed farmer, and also worked for the Burlington City Street Department and the Palm Gardens Tavern.
He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, the church's Holy Name Society, the Burlington Senior Citizens and the Burlington Knights of Columbus.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Donald (Mary Ann) Bohn, Racine, Mrs. David (Carol) Marsch, Paddock Lake, and Mrs. William (Darlene) Chart, Rochester; three sisters, Ella Duehring, Waterford, Mrs. Ed (Margaret) Traut, Salon Springs, and Lorraine Duehring, Waterford; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, William, Louie, Ervin and August, and a sister, Hattie Duehring.
The Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, Burlington, is in charge of arrangements.
DUEHRING—Funeral services for the late Herbert C. Duehring, will be held Wednesday, May 25 at 10 A.M. at St. Charles Catholic Church in Burlington, WI. Internment at St. Mary's Cemetery in Burlington. Friends may call at the Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home Tuesday, May 24, 4-9 P.M. Parish prayer vigil Tuesday evening 7:30 pm at the funeral home.
