Mrs. John Heiligenthal, 70, a lifelong resident of Lyons township until she moved here with her husband about five years ago, died at Memorial hospital early New Year's day following a long illness.
Mrs. Heiligenthal was the former Anna Helgert, daughter of Nicholas and Mary Helgert. She was, born on the Helgert farm near Lyons, Feb. 8, 1880. On May 3, 1904, she married John Heiligenthal at Lyons; They made their home in the village of Lyons where her husband was in the implement business for 40 years until his retirement about five years ago when they moved to Burlington.
She was a member of the Christian Mothers society at Lyons and of the St. Ann's society at St. Charles church here.
Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Ellsworth Rein, Burlington; two grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. H. C. Heiligenthal and Mrs. Alois Schiller, both of Lyons, and Mrs.
Adeline Dreesman, St. Louis, Mo.; two brothers, Nicholas Helgert of Lake Geneva and Albert Helgert of Lyons.
Mrs. Heiligenthal will lie in state at the McCarthy funeral home where members of St. Ann's society and of the Christian Mothers will say the Rosary on Wednesday night. Funeral services will be at 9 a. m. Thursday at the funeral home and at 9:30 o'clock at St. Charles Catholic church, the Rev. Henry Langenfeld officiating. Burial will be in. the St. Charles cemetery.
