BURLINGTON
A retired automobile dealer. Theodore A. Stang, 74, of 141 W. Highland Ave., died Wednesday at Burlington Memorial Hospital.
Born in Burlington Aug. 12, 1896, Stang was un automobile dealer here for 49 years and was the former owner of the Champion Motor Co. He retired several years ago.
A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans. He was also a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society.
On Nov. 3, 1928, he was married to the former Alvina Krakofsky.
Surviving are his wife, Alvina; two sons, James Stang of Tacoma, Wash, and Robert Stang of New Munster, Wis.; and a daughter, Candace Stang at home. He is also survived by three grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Church with his nephew, the Rev. Charles L. Stang officiating. Friends may call this afternoon and evening at the funeral home at 481 Milwaukee Ave.
