Sharon Elaine Budke, 49, of North Platte died Sept. 20, 2006, at her home.
She was born June 12, 1957, in Omaha to Donald Richard and Barbara Louise Kaskie Wood. Sharon attended grade school in Omaha, and then moved with her family to Indianola, graduating from Republican Valley High School. She then graduated from the Grand Island School of Business.
Sharon was employed by Budke Motors. It was there that she met Kevin Budke. The couple wed on May 18, 1979, in Indianola. They resided in North Platte where Sharon worked for Budke Motors. Later Sharon worked at ShopKo, where she was employed for more than 15 years.
Sharon belonged to St. Patrick's Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Ladies of St. Patrick's, and was active in the Boy Scouts, serving in the offices of secretary and treasurer.
Survivors include her husband, Kevin of North Platte; her mother, Barbara Wood of North Platte; three sons, Joshua (fiancé Jana Zirnig) Budke of North Platte, Michael Budke of San Angelo, Texas, and Ethan Budke of North Platte; 12 siblings, Bernard Wood of Cambridge, Kathleen (William) Kiefer of Omaha, Annettte (Jeff) Denning of Independence, Calif., Martin (Brenda) Wood of Omaha, Gerald Wood of Indianola, Stephen "Buck" (Thauna) Wood of Minden, Theresa (Lonnnie) Brooks of Indianola, Donald (Dianne) Wood of Elkhorn, Terrence (Nubia) Wood of Omaha, Kevin (Pam) Wood of North Platte, Paul (Julie) Wood of Omaha and David Wood of Omaha; a granddaughter, Makenzie of North Platte; her mother-in-law, Linnaea Budke of McCook; seven brothers and sisters-in-law, Shauna Stanton of Kearney, Tongay (Gale) Epp of Columbus, Stephan (Irma) Budke of North Platte, Taryn (Greg) Witt of Casa Grande, Ariz., Dion Budke of McCook, Charlynn (Lynn) Hamilton of Hayes Center, and Kif (James) Huffman of McCook; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Wood, and brother, William Wood.

The family will be receiving friends from 3 to 5 p.m. today at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home.
Rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Revs. Jim Golka, Joseph Walsh and Vince Parsons as celebrants. There will be a reception at St. Patrick's following the mass.
