Edward Breen, probably as well known a traveler as there is in Iowa, died late Saturday at his home, 502 North Third street, after an illness of three weeks. He succumbed to a complication of diseases. He was 51 year of age at the time of his death.

Mr. Breen was born in Lyons and made his home here all his life. He was connected with a Minnesota firm for over 20 years and during the last few years has been with the Lambert Co. of Independence. He was widely known in this and neighboring states.

He survived by his wife and four children, May, Theresa, Charlee and Harold who are living at home, and a sister and brother, Mr. McGrory and James Breen, both of Chicago. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at St. Patrick's church. Interment will be made in Calvary cemetery.
