Miss Ethel Light, 14, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter C. Light of Linebrook road, Ipswich, who with her parents was seriously hurt in an auto collision on the Newbury port Turnpike at West Peabody, last night, died at the J. B. Thomas Hospital here today from her injuries. She received a punctured lung, and other serious injuries.
Mr. Light is suffering from internal injuries and mutiple contusions and abrasions, while his wife received shock and many minor injuries. Both are expected to recover.
Last night Mr. Light was driving his machine along the Turnpike road in West Peabody when it crashed against a stalled truck on the right-hand side of the road. According to the police, the big machine was without a rear light and was operated by Thomas E. Seymore of 182 Weld av, New Bedford. Just as the Light machine crashed against the truck a third car operated by Joseph J. Holmes Jr of 24 Archer st, Lynn, sideswiped it. Mr. and Mrs. Light and their daughter were thrown to the road.
