Christian E. Stark, 55, of 1054 Crystal Drive, Toms River, died last Thursday in Martland Medical Center, Newark. He was the husband of Mrs. Regina McAtter Stark, who, is employed in the municipal offices of the Borough of Brielle.
Born in New York City, he lived most Of his life in Nutley and Hazlet before moving to Toms River seven years ago. He was a mortgage service representative.
Mr. Stark was a 1944 graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point, N.Y., and a naval Officer during World War II. His memberships included the Merchant Marine Academy Alumni Association and Toms River Lodge of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.
Besides his wife, survivors include two sons, Christian E. Stark, III, Matawan, and Peter J. Stark, Toms River; a sister, Mrs. Millicent Pearce, Hyde Park; N.Y., and two grandchildren.
The funeral service was on Monday in the Kedz Funeral Home, Toms giver, with the Rev. Robert G. Petersen, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Beachwood, officiating. Interment was in Ocean County Memorial Park, Dover Township.
