Funeral services for Sister Dolorita (Evelyn) Richter, 65, Sacred Heart Convent at Yankton, formerly of the Kranzburg area, were today (Saturday) in the Sacred Heart Convent at Yankton. Burial was in the convent cemetery.
Sister Dolorita died May 26 in a Yankton hospital.
Sister Dolorita was born July 8, 1917, on a farm one mile west of Kranzburg to Mr. and Mrs. Albert Richter. She attended Holy Rosary School at Kranzburg 10 years and graduated from St. Joseph High at Ashton, Iowa.
She entered Sacred Heart Convent in 1942 and made her final profession in 1945. She obtained her bachelor of science degree in home economics and her master's degree from the University of Nebraska. She taught in at York, Neb., Hartington, Neb., Mount Marty High School at Yankton and St Mary's at Salem.
She returned to Mount Marty in 1969 and worked in the business office until ill health forced her retirement.
She is survived by five sisters, Mrs. Edward (Loretta) Tribitt of Altamont, Mrs. Lavina Strohfus of Burnsville, Minn., Mrs. James (Alma) Mack and Mrs. Ray (Ethel) Zirbes of Castlewood and and Mrs. LaVerne (Helen) Rueschenberg of Watertown; and a brother, Leonard Richter of Watertown.
