Funeral services for Lavina Mary Strohfus, 81, St. Paul, Minn., formerly of Watertown, will be Monday, Dec. 20, at 10 a.m. in the Holy Name Catholic Church with the Rev. Jerome Holtzman officiating. Music will be presented by organist Jane Rokusek and soloist Blaine Martian.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Todd, Dale Alan, Michael, Christopher and Donnie Strohfus and John Milligan.
Visitation will be Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Chapel and Monday at the church preceding the services. There will also be a Scripture service Sunday at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral chapel. The family is asked to meet Monday in the church at 9:30 a.m. to attend the services.
Lavina Strohfus died Thursday, Dec. 16, 1999, at a St. Paul hospital.
She was born Nov. 15, 1918, near Kranzburg, to Albert and Margaret (Eilen) Richter. She married Willard Strohfus June 15, 1943.
Survivors include five sons and two daughters-in-law, Ken and Ramona of Aberdeen, LaVerne and Sandra of Hartville, Ohio; Jerry of Brandon, Fla., Don of Sarasota, Fla., and Dale of McHenry, Ill.; a daughter, Elaine of St. Paul; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Loretta and Edward Tribett of Clear Lake, Mrs. Ethel Zirbes of Castlewood and Helen and LaVerne Rueschenberg of Watertown; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
