CASTLEWOOD
Funeral services for Mrs. James (Alma M.) Mack, 65, who died June 24 in her rural Castlewood home, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St John's Catholic Church at Castlewood. The Rev. Leonard Kayser will officiate.
Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mary Ruesink and Cheryl Leemhuis will be organists. Visitation will be in the Geise Funeral Chapel at Castlewood today (Wednesday) from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and in the church Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m. There will be a wake service at 8 tonight in the church.
Mrs. Mack was born Oct 26, 1923, at Kranzburg to Albert and Margaret Richter. She attended the Holy Rosary School at Kranzburg.
She married James Mack Oct 24, 1944, at Kranzburg and the couple farmed near Kranzburg before moving to Watertown and then to the Castlewood area in the early 1960s.
She is survived by her husband; nine sons, Ronald of Stratford, LeRoy of Ord, Neb., Robert, Harold and Roger, all of Watertown, Gene of Valentine, Neb., and Howard, Vernon and Loren, all of Castlewood; a daughter, Mrs. John (Sharon) Young of Eldorado Springs, Mo.; a brother, Leonard Richter of Watertown; four sisters, Mrs. Ray (Ethel) Zirbes of Castlewood, Mrs. (Helen) Rueschenberg of Watertown, Mrs. Lavina Strohfus of Burnsville, Minn., and Mrs. Edward (Loretta) Tribett of Clear lake; and 21 grandchildren.
