Edward Tribitt, 98, Clear Lake, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2001, at a local nursing home.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Clear Lake with the Rev. Richard Baumberger officiating. Music will be presented by organist Clarice Uckert and the St. Mary's Choir.
Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Darrell Mikkelson, Harold "Jim" Tribitt Jr., Rodney Switzenberg, Larry Goldbeck, Mike Schuelke and Robert Tolrud.
Visitation will be today (Tuesday) from 4 to 8 p.m. at the church in Clear Lake with a Rosary and Scripture service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will also be Wednesday at the church prior to the services. The family is requested to meet at the church by 10 a.m. Wednesday to attend the services.
Edward Tribitt was born May 5, 1903, to George and Mary (Kase) Tribitt.
He married Loretta Richter Sept. 4, 1935, at Kranzburg. Mrs. Tribitt died in 2000.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Lloyd and Robin of Ventura, Calif., Harold and Patricia of Revillo and Robert and Diane of Rosemount, Minn.; six daughters and five sons-in-law, Alyce and Preston Skarloken of Estelline, Mildred and Mervin Mikkelson of Toronto, Kathleen and Robert Tolrud of Prior Lake, Minn., Marlys and Larry Goldbeck of Madison, Minn., Janice Switzenberg of Revillo, and Karen and Mike Schuelke of Madison, Minn.; two sisters, Lorraine Whitney of Waverly and Mazie Broksieck of Brookings; 26 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
