Joseph Elbert died at his home in Sioux township April 23, at 7:30 p. m., his fatal sickness dating back to early winter. He was in Sioux City hospital for some time, and realizing the end was near be desired to be brought home two weeks ago so he might pass away surrounded by his loved ones. His wife died several years ago leaving him with three children, two boys and a girl who mourn the loss of kind and indulgent father. The funeral took place from the home Monday at 1 p. m , under the auspices of the Odd Fellow's lodge of Rock Valley of which he was a worthy member. Internment at Rock Valley cemetery.
