Former Owner of the Superior Fuel
Company Died Early This Morning
After Long Illness.

Henry J. Althoff, aged 53 years, for many years A resident of New Munster and for the past few years the owner of the Superior Fuel company of Kenosha, which business he sold only three weeks ago, died early this morning at the St. Catherine's hospital after an illness of several weeks from a complication of diseases. The deceased was born in Burlington, February 12, 1870, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Althoff. He was a business man in New Munster for many years and then came to Kenosha. His home here was at 671 Huron street.

His wife, Mrs. Anna Althoff died in 1918. Surviving him are three daughters, Josephine, Dorothy, Marian, and one son, Bernard, of Kenosha. He is also survived by one brother, Joseph of New Munster, and two sisters, Mrs. John Kersting, of Fox River, and Mrs. Nicholas Barbian, of Wheatland.

The deceased was a member of the Foresters had been active in its work. The remains were taken to the late home at 671 Huron street from which funeral services will start Monday morning with church services at the St. James church at nine o'clock and interment in the family plot in the St. James cemetery.
