Sister M. Innocent Althoff, O.P., 89, 720 35th St., died Thursday evening (Sept. 28, 1995) at St. Catherine's Hospital.
Born Dorothy Marie Althoff Jan. 9, 1906 in New Munster, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Anna (Lois) Althoff. She attended St. Alphonsus School in New Munster and St. Thomas School, Kenosha.
She entered the novitiate as a postulant at St. Catherine's Hospital on July 1, 1925. She received the Dominican habit on June 10, 1926, made her first profession on July 14, 1927 and final profession on Aug, 15, 1932.
In July 1995 Sister Innocent and three other Kenosha Dominicans celebrated their diamond jubilees of profession. She spent her years at various convents in Ontario, Oregon, Saratoga, Calif., Sienadale, Merced, Calif., and Kenosha.
Her ministries were visiting the sick in hospitals and nursing homes; sewing and cooking at the convents.
About eight months ago she entered Woodstock Health Center until two days before her death.
Surviving are a sister, Jo Johnson, Kenosha.

ALTHOFF—Funeral services for the late Sister M. Innocent Althoff O.P. will be held on Monday, October 2nd at 10:00 A.M. at St. Catherine's Hospital Chapel. Interment at All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call at St. Catherine's Chapel from 9:00 A.M. until the time of Mass on Monday. The Proko Funeral Home is serving the Sisters of St. Catherine's Hospital.
