Lorraine O'Brien, 69, of Winthrop, IA died Monday, Jan. 3, 2000, in Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, after an extended illness.
Survivors include her husband, Louis; four sons, Daniel (Diane) of Vinton, Stephen (Kathy) and James (Molly), both of Hartwell, Ga., and Donald (Michelle) of Belle Plaine; two daughters, Patsy (Butch) Bass of Cookeville, Tenn., and Sue (Gary) Roscovius of Independence; 11 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; three brothers, Richard Barbian and Jerry Barbian, both of Las Vegas, and Russel Barbian of Marion; and a sister, Phylis Matteson of Winthrop.
Services: 11 a.m. Friday, St. Patrick's Catholic Church, by the Rev. Ivan Nienhaus. Burial: church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Fawcett Funeral Home, Winthrop, where a Scripture service will take place.
