Evelyn M. Smith, 63, Burlington Ave., Twin Lakes, died Thursday (Feb. 7, 1985) at Memorial Hospital, Burlington.
The daughter of the late Jack and Elizabeth (Altoff) Kersting was born April 12, 1921 in Kenosha County.
She spent her early life in Lilly Lake and attended schools at New Munster. She lived in Twin Lakes since 1983.
On Sept. 13, 1939, in Dubuque, Iowa, she married Earl Smith. He died Jan. 24, 1980.
She had been employed as a dietitian at the Hillcrest Nursing Home, Twin Lakes.
She was a member of St. John Catholic Church and the Ladies Society of the parish.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. William (Eva) Baker, Burlington, and Mrs. Richard (Betty) Frank, Lilly Lake; six grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
The McCarthy-Koenig Funeral Home, Burlington, is in charge of arrangements.
SMITH-Funeral services for the late Evelyn M. Smith of Twin Lakes, WI, who passed away Feb. 7th, will be at 9:30 A.M. Saturday at St. John's Catholic Church, Twin Lakes. Interment In St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 to 9:00 P.M. Friday at the McCarthy-Koenig Funeral Home, Burlington and at 9:00 until time of services at the Church. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 P.M. Friday. Memorials to Cancer Fund or St. John's Church have been suggested.
