ELBERT RITES THIS FRIDAY
Funeral services for Lieutenant Joe Elbert will held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Hawarden Methodist church with Dr. G.S. Bruland and Rev. Warren Salle officiating. Lieutenant Elbert died in Vietnam September 13, but details of his death are not known here yet.
He is related to Mrs. Harley Marshall of Hawarden, who is a great aunt, and he will be buried in the Elbert family plot in Grace Hill cemetery. He was horn in Spencer, Iowa.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Don Elbert, of Lake Bay, Washington; a brother, Keith; sisters, Kathy, Diane, Barbara, and Patty Lee, and his grandfather, A. J. Elbert, of Silverton, Oregon.
