Leroy E. Reiter, 64, passed away Friday, January 8, 2010, at St. Catherine's Medical Center in Pleasant Prairie. He was born April 5, 1945, in Burlington, to Wendolyn and Edna (nee: Daniels) Reiter. Leroy was a lifetime resident of Brighton. He attended St. Francis Xavier Grade School and graduated from Westosha Central High School. Leroy then attended UW Madison for farm short course. On July 29, 1967, at Holy Name Catholic Church in Wilmot, Leroy was united in marriage to Roberta Ann Robinson. Leroy was a farmer and a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Kenosha County Farm Bureau. Leroy was an avid Packers fan and enjoyed snowmobiling, spending time with his grandsons, and playing cards.

Survivors include his loving wife, Roberta Reiter; their children, Ronald Reiter of Brighton, Steve (Delena) Reiter of Bristol, David Reiter of Brighton, Lori Reiter of Racine and Lisa Reiter of Middleton; his mother, Edna Reiter; grandsons, Vinny, Jarrett and Drew Reiter; and by sisters, Donna (Nick) Cordes, Dianne (Don) Durkin, Elaine Reiter and Darlene (Bernadette Elverman) Reiter. Leroy was preceded in death by his father and by an infant son, Christopher.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2010, at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Brighton, with Rev. Kenneth Mich officiating. Burial will follow at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family at Schuette Daniels Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 13, from 4 until 8 p.m. The family would like to express a special thank you to the doctors and staff at St. Catherine's ICU as well as the Sen. Joseph Andrea Cancer Center. They would also like to thank all the family and friends that helped on the farm during Leroy's illness.
