Gary N. Daniels, 62, of Brighton passed away March 27, 2013, at his home. He was born Oct. 31, 1950, to Everett and Dorothy (nee Weis) in Racine, Wis. Gary was a lifelong resident of Brighton where he attended St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. He graduated from Central High School, following high school he attended UW- Madison where he lived in the Babcock House. He was drafted and served in the U.S Army overseas in Korea. Later in life Gary accomplished a personal goal of completing his education at UW Parkside. In April of 1975 he was united in marriage to his former wife Susan Kielpinski. Gary served his community as a past town chairman of Brighton. He was a very talented craftsman, and enjoyed helping others with their home-improvement projects, and was especially gifted with his woodworking skills. He had worked at American Motors, Chrysler, Gander Mountain and the Pleasant Company. Gary loved watching football and was an avid Packers and Badger fan.
Gary was a devoted son of Dorothy Daniels; he was the proud father of Laura (Jarred Searls) Daniels of Cobb, Michael (Erica) Daniels of Brighton, Amanda (Jason) Linscheid of Cobb and Paul (Alyson Goodner) Daniels of Princeton, N.J.; grandfather of Nathan Daniels, Julia Searls, Noah and Jacob Daniels, Lillian, Evelena and George Linscheid. He is further survived by his siblings, Anita Christensen, Joseph Daniels, Jeanine (James) Inwood, Ellen Daniels, Myron (Doreen) Daniels and Cathy (Ed Brzinski) Daniels and Ann (Stephen) Abel and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Gary was preceded in death by his father Everett and Lynn Torrey.
Services for Gary will be held on Tuesday April 2, 2013, at 7 p.m. at the Polnasek-Daniels Funeral Home with Father Russ Arnett officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Tuesday, April 2, from 3:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home. A private inurnment will take place at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
