Possible Baptism Record - If this record bears out, it suggests that the father is Lois Hen. Schlering / Menglekamp. I would guess based on my recent knowledge of "hofenamen" or farm name, that this could be the case. Also of note is the mother, Anna Elizabeth Einhues / Mengelkamp. THIS IS A GUESS, but I think Wilhelm Heinrich Mengelkamp's father is Lois Hen. Schlering (who then took the name Mengelkamp). His mother is Anna Elizabeth Mengelkamp (who had previously married a Einhues.) For now, it's the strongest lead I have. - 25 Jun 2024
