MOUNTAIN
Ferdinand H. Richter, 76, Mountain, died Monday evening unexpectedly. He was born June 6, 1889, in the Town of Brillion, and married former Lamberdena Huls, Oct. 15, 1908, in Brillion. The couple moved to Mountain in 1934 where they operated Richter's Log Cabin Restaurant, retiring April 1 of this year. Mr. Richter was deputy sheriff of Oconto County, president of the Mountain Sportsman's Club and a member of the Stockbridge Paternal Order of Odd Fellows.
Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Cecelia Felsinger, Indianapolis, Ind.; Mrs. Bill (Thelma) Pettey. Milwaukee; Mrs. Lynn (Vivian) Kirby, Brillion; Mrs. Jim (Alice) Flynn, Breed; Mrs. Harry (Elinor) Strong, Clintonville; Mrs. Ray (Jean) Brooks, Milwaukee; three sons, Emery and Carl, both of Brillion; Clayborn, Briggsville; 23 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Clara Krause, Waunakee. He was preceded in death by his wife, April 14, 1961.
At Soulek Funeral Home, Suring, and at Wieting Funeral Home, Brillion, after 11 a.m. Thursday. Funeral 2 p.m. Thursday, Wieting Funeral Home. Burial in the Brillion Community Cemetery.
