On December 8, 2002, Pat Warfield passed into the next life after losing a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She fought this terrible disease with tremendous tenacity, courage and pride. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and the keeper of many cats. Her laugh, wit and zest for life will be sorely missed.
Patricia Ann Warfield was born on October 26, 1933 in Fish Creek, Wisconsin to Mabel and Sheldon Doughty. She was graduate of the Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Florida. In 1963 she met and married Larry R. Warfield of Quilcene Washington and began the life of a Boeing wife. Life with Larry and Boeing took Pat around the world. Her family was blessed to reside in Cairo, Egypt, Tehran, Iran (where her family lived through the Islamic Revolution of 1978), Jakarta, Indonesia and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Between travels and overseas life, Pat spent more then twenty years calling Bellevue, Washington her home. She was instrumental in making the Del Mar Woods area of Newport Hills in Bellevue a part of the Bellevue School District. Throughout her life, Pat Warfield traveled to over 30 different countries, shopped in the great cities of the world, hobnobbed with Ambassadors and other world dignitaries. She was an artist, avid shopper and collector of foreign antique Pat also enjoyed a life long love of cats. She was known for her feeding and care of feral cats and for her charity with NOAH of Camano Island, Washington, a local "no kill" shelter. Her cats were beloved members of her family who resided with her family abroad.
Pat is survived by her husband of 39 years, Larry Warfield, her sons: Captain Rob Warfield, USMC, daughter-in-law Leah, grandchildren Blue and Makena; and Thom Warfield Daughter-in-law Glenda, and Grand daughter Gillian. She is also survived by "Baby" her orange, six toed, tabby Cat.
