Formerly of Brillion, age 81, died on Tuesday, May 19, 1998, at the Homestead. She was born November 24, 1916, in Brillion, daughter of the late Ferdinand and Dena (Huls) Richter. On February 18, 1936, she married Lyton Kirby in Suring, Wisconsin. Vivian was a member of Peace United Church of Christ in Brillion and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, James and Alicia Kirby, four grandchildren, Steve Zander, Teresa Kirby, Christopher Kirby and Robinson Kirby; five great-grandchildren, Chantae and Seth Zander, Ryan and Krysta Maas, and Mason Kirby; four sisters: Thelma Pettey and Jean Brooks, Milwaukee; Celia Felsinger, Sheboygan; and Eleanor Strong, Shawano; a brother, Carl Richter, Brillion. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lynton, in February of 1986; a daughter, Bonnie, in March of 1988; two brothers, Emery and Clyborn Richter; and a sister, Alice Flynn.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 21, 1998, at 11 a.m. at Peace United Church of Christ in Brillion, with the Rev. Sue Stull officiating. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of the services. The Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion is assisting the family with arrangements.
