Mrs. Alice Flynn, 69, Rt. 1, Suring, died Monday at home. Alice was born Feb. 3, 1918 in Brillion to the late Ferdinand Richter and Dena Huls. Alice married James W. Flynn on Dec. 7, 1935.
The couple owned and operated Jim Flynn's Bar in Breed for 40 years until their retirement. Mrs. Flynn a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Suring, the Altar Society, the VFW Auxiliary in Mountain, and the American Legion in Suring.
Survivors include one son, William Flynn, Suring; one daughter and son-in-law, Harvey and Callie Smith, Suring; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl and Helen Richter, Brillion; Claybourn and Lill Richter, Briggsville, Wisconsin; five sisters and two brothers-in-law, Cecelia Felsiner, Sheboygan; Bill and Thelma Petty, Milwaukee, Vivian Kirby, Brillion; Harry and Elinor Strong, Suring; Jean Brooks, Milwaukee; and nine grandchildren.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband Sept. 30, 1980, and one brother.
Friends may call at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home, Suring, on Wednesday from 4 to 9 p.m. Prayer vigil at 8 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael Catholic Church with the Rev. Frank Melchior officiating. Burial in Breed Union Cemetery.
