Shelby Scharbarth

 

Shelby Scharbarth, Little Chute, passed away peacefully with her family by her side December 1, 2012. She was born April 19, 1937, in Marinette, daughter of Emery and Ruth (Krause) Richter. She married her sweetheart, Ken Scharbarth, on December 29, 1956. Together they operated Calumet Meats for many years. Shelby also held several positions as an executive secretary at Ariens Company in Brillion, a catering cook at Cedar Creek, and most recently, delivered papers for the Appleton Post Crescent for 15+ years, never missing a day. Shelby enjoyed her many trips rafting down the Grand Canyon and the memories that she made there. She was a very kind hearted, giving, and loving person, going out of her way to help anyone in need. For many years she took wonderful care of her husband. Her caring personality and great cooking will be missed dearly.

Shelby is survived by her children: Craig (Denise) Scharbarth and their children: Amber (Fiancé Ben Bastian) and Erin (special friend Alex) and Brian (Lesia) Scharbarth and their children: Andrew (Fiancée Tricia Pond) and Emery; one special great-grandchild, Ariana Holcomb; brothers-in-law: Al and Rolain Scharbarth: many other family members and special friends. Shelby was preceded in death by her husband, Ken and her parents. Following Shelby's wishes, there will be no formal service. She will be laid to rest next to her husband.
