Ruth F. Wilker, age 65, 9344 Co. Rd. 66A New Bremen, Ohio, died at 7:40 a.m. on Wednesday, April l, 1998 at her home following an extended illness.
She was born on March 16, 1933 in Peter, Ohio to Henry and Rose (Schuh) Grieshop. She married Wilfred Wilker on July 24, 1954. He survives near New Bremen.
Other survivors include four daughters and their husbands: Marilyn and Nick Pohlman, Covington; Marge and Ed Doenges, New Bremen; Joan and Mark Balster, Coldwater; Karen and Dennis Stammen, Coldwater; three sons and their wives: Robert and Jackie Wilker, New Bremen; Ron and Deb Wilker, St. Marys; Gene and Cindy Wilker, St. Marys, one son: Tom Wilker at home; two sisters and their husbands: Rosemary and Herb Kaiser, Coldwater; Martha and Cletus Dues, Fort Recovery; four brothers and their wives: Jerome and Norma Grieshop, Fort Recovery; Louis and Charlene Grieshop, Fort Recovery; Herb and Janice Grieshop, Celina; one brother: John Grieshop, St. Johns; one brother-in-law: Ralph Langenkamp, St. Henry; one sister-in-law: Doris Grieshop, Celina; and 22 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Laura Langenkamp and one brother, Dennis Grieshop.
Ruth was a homemaker, an avid bowler and card player. She was a member of the Church of the Holy Redeemer in New Bremen, Ohio; a member of St. Ann's Altar Sodality of the church; and a church choir member. She was a member of the American Legion Post 470 Auxiliary in Coldwater.
Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, April 4. 1998 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Redeemer, New Bremen with the Father Daniel Conlon and Father Ron Wilker as concelebrants. Burial followed in the Gethsemane Cemetery, St. Marys.
Gilberg Funeral Home, New Bremen handled the arrangements.
