FRANCIS J. SCHWARTZ, 77, died at 9 p.m. May 7, 1999, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
He was born May 13, 1921, in Osgood to Leander and Cecelia Schulze Schwartz. On Sept. 10, 1949, he married Lavaun Klosterman, who survives.
Mr. Schwartz retired as a farmer. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus in McCartyville.
Survivors also include a son, Daniel (Robin) Schwartz of Worthington; three daughters, Ruth (David) Dicke of Perrysburg, Ginny (Bob) Wilt of Anna, and Kathy (Alan) Platfoot of New Bremen; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters, and a grandchild.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Hearth Catholic Church. The Rev. Gerald Bensman will officiate. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Minster Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the New Bremen Rescue Squad.
