Alfred M. Krause, 87, of 551 Maple St., Chippewa Falls, died Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at the Chippewa Manor Nursing Home in Chippewa Falls.
Alfred was born Oct. 4, 1927 in Chippewa Falls, the son of Ernest and Ruth (Twister) Krause.
On Jan. 8, 1949, Alfred married Marie Gettler at Notre Dame Church in Chippewa Falls.
Alfred served in the U. S. Army.
For 33 years Alfred worked at the Northern Center for the Developmentally Disabled until his retirement. He enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and loved woodworking. He was a member of Holy Ghost Church.
Alfred is survived by: four siblings, Linda (Robert) Hutton of Chippewa Falls, Deborah (Steve) Carter of Conifer, Colorado, Daniel (Jody) Krause of Bloomer and Ronald (Patricia) of Peoria, Arizona.; one brother, Clayton Krause of Eau Claire; one sister, Carol Kramer of Chippewa Falls; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Alfred was preceded in death by: his wife, Marie on June 8, 2005; his parents; four brothers, Gilbert, Willis, Lester and Vernon; and three sisters, Mildred, Ora and Orpha.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Noon Tuesday, March 24 at Holy Ghost Church in Chippewa Falls. Rev. Valentine Joseph will be celebrant of the Memorial Mass. Burial of cremains will be in Prairie View Cemetery in the village of Lake Hallie. Military rites will be conducted by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of services on Tuesday, March 24 at Holy Ghost Church in Chippewa Falls.
