Clarice H. (Olson)(Brunner) Larson, 70, Eau Clair, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2002, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Clarice was born August 5, 1932, in Chippewa Falls to Raynord and Helen (Trebon) Olson. She was a lifelong resident of the Eau Claire area.
Clarice attended Eau Claire area schools and the Chippewa Valley Technical College. She married William Brunner on October 5, 1954. William passed away in 1960. She married Vance Larson on October 29, 1966. He passed away on December 22, 1963.
Clarice is survived by two sons, Steve (Pattie) Brunner of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Mark (B.J.) Brunner of Vancouver, Wash.; two daughters, Dawn (Jay) Hamilton of Clearwater, Kan., Diane (Mick) Oehlert White of Paddock Lake, Wis.; seven grandchildren, Bridget (Mike) Zuercher, Matt (Amy) Brunner, Erica (Dan) Hageman, Jesse Oehlert, Aimee Oehlert, Breanna Hamilton, Cody Hamilton; four great-grandchildren, Brandon Zuercher, Megan Zuercher, Peyton Brunner, and Rachel Oehlert; three brothers, Richard (Kitty) Olson, Ken (Dee) Olson, both of Eau Claire, Charles Olson of Kenosha, Wis.; one sister, Rita (Steve) Andrews of Trempealeau, Wis.; sister-in-law, Verna "Sis" Michaelson and Donna Michaels, both of Eau Claire; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, William Brunner and Vance Larson; sisters, Evelyn Krippner and Ione Schoettle; one brother, Robert Olson; sister-in-law, Susan Olson.
Clarice worked at National Presto Industries on the line and in the cafeteria, Hoffman's Steak House, Kopp's Steak House, Yard 4, and the Eau Claire Manor. She co-owned and operated Hobbsy & Me Bar, retiring in July of 1999.
She enjoyed going to Island Lake and Irvine Park, playing cards, planting flowers in her yard, quilting for her children and grandchildren and visiting with family and business patrons. She always made Christmas very special, and Toys for Tots was a favorite charity.
Clarice was a beautiful, loving and caring mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, December 28, 2002, at 10 a.m. at St. Olaf's Catholic Church with Rev. Frank Corradi officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Eau Claire.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, December 27, 2002, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave., where there will be a 7 p.m. public prayer service, and one hour prior to service Saturday at the church.
The family suggests memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society, American Lung Association, or the Salvation Army.
Golden Funeral Home is assisting family with arrangements.
