Married--Schemmer-Aurit, at St. Mary's church, Tuesday October 21, a 9 o'clock a.m. by Rev. J. Phelan, Mr. John Schemmer and Miss Kate Aurit. Mr. Ben Schemmer and Miss Quintan acting as best man and bridesmaid; the bride was tastefully attired in white Peau de Sole, while the groom wore the conventional black. After high nuptial mass, the vows were exchanged which made the twain one; a reception and dinner at the home of the bride followed, and in the evening the happy couple left for Sioux City via Perkins; they returned Thursday evening and are now at home over Pember's drug store, which the groom recently purchased. The congratulations of the entire community; go with them along the pathway they have chosen.

From SCH 1902.10.15 - It is reported that H.H. Pember has sold his drugstore to John Schemmer, possession to be given November 1; Mr. Pember will devote his time to his stock farm about a mile southwest of town.

From RVB 1907.10.18 - H.H. Pember is once more established at his old stand, having purchased the drug store of J.H. Schemmer yesterday morning. During the five years that Mr. Schemmer has been in business here he has made many warm friends who will regret to see him go out of business. Mr. Pember on the other hand through his long business career in Rock Valley has established a bond of friendship in business circles which will once more be renewed in his entering business. The Bee wishes both the retiring and new firm success.
