DUNKERTON
Rita Ann Nuebel, 91, of ABCM Rehabilitation Centers of Independence-East Campus, died Monday, Nov. 14, at her home.
She was born Feb. 24, 1925, in Alta Vista, daughter of August Felder and Anne Delsing Felder. On April 28, 1945, she married Paul Edward Nuebel Jr. in Key West, Fla. He preceded her in death.
She attended St. Bernard's School in Alta Vista. In earlier years, Rita Ann worked as a secretary for a time at John Deere in Waterloo. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church-Barclay, rural Dunkerton.
Survived by: four daughters, Rebecca (John) Sweeney of Independence, Margaret (Larry) Boren of Cocoa, Fla., Lori Falk of New York, N.Y., and Mary Lynn Nuebel of Iowa City; four sons, Vincent (Diane) of Dunkerton, Gregory of Bailey, Colo., Joseph (Teri) of Tracy, Calif., and Paul Jr. (Lois) of Center Point; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a stepgreat-grandson.
Preceded in death by: her parents; a grandson; two great-granddaughters; four brothers, Gene, Ray, Jerry and Bernard; and four sisters, Irma, Madonna, Helen and Irene.
Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at St. Francis Catholic Church, rural Dunkerton, with inurnment in the church cemetery. Visitation will be for an hour before services Saturday at the church. White Funeral Home, Jesup, is in charge of arrangement.
Memorials: will be directed to Bosco System, St. Francis Catholic Church and Cedar Valley Hospice. They may be sent to Rita Nuebel Memorial Fund, in care of White Funeral Home, 1315 Main St., Jesup 50648.
