Henry Richter, Sr., a well known farmer of the town of Burlington, died on Tuesday at the Racine County Hospital for the Insane at Gatliffe, where he had been several months past for treatment. It is thought that his ailment started from a severe fall that he sustained a few years ago at his home. The funeral will take place on Friday morning at nine o'clock from St. Mary's Catholic church.
Mr. Richter was 74 years old, having been born on October 19, 1849, in the town of Burlington. He was married in 1876 to Miss Anna Uhlenhake, who survives him, also four daughters, Mrs. Ben Robers and Mrs. Henry Nienhaus of Bassett, Mrs. John Tenhagen of the town of Burlington and Mrs. Jos. Tenhagen, living at home; also two sons, Henry, Jr., at home and Theodore of the town of Burlington. One sister and three brothers are also living, Mrs. William Luke of Wheatland and Theo. J. Richter of this city, William Richter of Rock Valley, Iowa, and Alfred Richter of the town of Burlington. There are also a dozen grandchildren living.
