WAVERLY
Lorna Karsten Wissink, 91, of Waverly, died Wednesday, March 29.
Lorna lived an active life working in the banking industry in Andrew, until she retired and moved to Waverly from Maquoketa. She also spent time in Arizona. Lorna was involved with Wartburg College, Bremwood, Bartels and St Paul's Lutheran Church.
Survived by: two daughters, Deborah Wissink Sapp of Seattle and LeAnn Wissink of Carlsbad, Calif.; and two grandchildren, Karlyne and Chandler Sapp.
Preceded in death by: her parents, Mildred and Erwin Karsten; and a brother, Myron Karsten.
Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, at Good Shepherd Chapel at Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community, Waverly, with a reception to follow. Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly is assisting the family, 352-1187.

Lorna loved to restore old things, buildings and antiques. She had a passion for singing and choral music. She had an astute mind for numbers and details. She is known for her colorful fashion and grace. She was a loyal friend and devoted mother.
