T.J. Richter Dies Tuesday
One of the oldest residents of Burlington, Theodore J. Richter, 93, 947 Washington St., died Tuesday night after an illness of one year.
Born Feb. 13, 1880, in Burlington Township, he was the son of Theodore and Catherine Richter. On Feb. 7, 1888, at St. Alhponsun church, New Munster, he married Elizabeth Vos.
For 10 years Mr. and Mrs. Richter lived on a farm near Burlington and then moved to a farm near Wheatland where they resided until 1920, when they retired at Burlington. The couple observed their 65th wedding anniversary on Feb. 7, 1953.
He was a member of St. Charles church and of the Holy Name Society.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth three sons, Frank and Elmer of Brighton, and William, Silver Lake; six daughters, Mrs. R. Stanley Kelly, Bur1ington, Mrs. Laura Daniels and Mrs. Sylvester Epping of Brighton, Mrs. Jake Robers, Lyons, Mrs. Leo Robers end Mrs. Clarence Fonk, Kenosha; 4 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren.
Funera1 services will be held at 10 a. m. Saturday at St. Charles church, Rev. Henry Langenfeld officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home, 681 Geneva St., until time of services.
