Ruth M. Gerhardt, 78, of Salisbury died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2006, at Manokin Manor Nursing Home in Princess Anne.
Born in Waterloo, Iowa, she was a daughter of the late Ernest Carl and the late Hilda (Tribon) Schmidt. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph M. Gerhardt Sr.
She was a member of Mount Hermon United Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by four sons, Dennis Lokey and his wife, Gayle, of Salisbury, Michael Lokey and his wife, Bunny, of Princess Anne, Donald Lokey of Salisbury, Richard Lokey and his wife, Susan, of Pennsylvania; two stepdaughters, Bonnie Brown and Aleta Bailey, both of Salisbury; and one stepson, Ralph Gerhardt Jr. of St. Michaels; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Norma Durkee of Yakima, Wash.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Lokey.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 pm. at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Officiating will be the Rev. Jim Riley. Interment will be in Springhill Memory Gardens near Hebron.
