Donald Anthony Lokey died Tuesday, May 29, 2018 in Christiana Hospital, Newark, Delaware.
Born in Yakima, Washington, to the late Walter F. Lokey and Ruth Lokey Gerhardt.
Don grew up in Salisbury and attended school there. He served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970 as a Battalion Medic, with the 13th Infantry of the 8th Inf. Division, achieving the rank of Spc-5. Upon returning from the military, he began a career as a professional truck driver and member of the Teamsters Union, retiring in 2001.
Donnie was an avid outdoors man. He loved to fish and hunt from his youth, and could be found pursuing that passion whenever possible.
He is survived by his longtime companion Lois Hobbs, sons Donald, David, and Greg Lokey; brothers: Rev. Michael Lokey. Walter Lokey Jr. and sister Stephanie Lokey, as well as many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sister Sharon I. Breedlove and brothers Dennis and Richard Lokey.
A memorial serves will be held June 09, 2018 at 11 A.M. with visitation one hour prior. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Laura Dorsey and Rev. Michael Lokey at St. Paul's Episcopal Church located at 28315 St. Paul's Church Rd., Marion, Md. 21838.
