Funeral services for Neva Thelma Wellendorf, 90, of Ida Grove, were at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Christensen Funeral Home in Ida Grove. She died Sunday, Jan. 8, 1984, in the Horn Memorial Hospital in Ida Grove after a brief illness.
The Rev. Jack Speer of the United Methodist Church in Ida Grove officiated, with burial in the Ida Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Wellendorf was born Aug. 12, 1893, at Independence to Charles and Augusta (Wagner) Satterlee. She married Ebbon Satterlee on Sept. 25, 1916, at Independence. They had one child, Wacille Augusta Jane, born July 21, 1919. Mr. Satterlee died in January 1920.
Mrs. Satterlee married George Wellendorf Sept. 24, 1924, at Ida Grove. He died Dec. 29, 1967, in Ida Grove.
She operated the Park Hotel for 47 years.
Survivors include: a daughter, Wacille Cook of Ida Grove; a grandson, Frederick Anderson of Arthur; nieces Betty Cullen of Ida Grove and Mary Kemp of Cedar Falls,; nephews Tom McShane of Ida Grove, Donald McShane of Junction City, Kans., Ken Satterlee of Cedar Falls and Bob Satterlee of Waterloo; and many other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Lyle; husbands Ebbon and George; and one great-grandson, Michael.
