Mary Florence Kemp, 91, of Waterloo, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, Aug. 21, at UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital, Waterloo.
She was born March 11, 1923, in Independence, daughter of Lyle and Florence (Hall) Satterlee. She married Norman V. Kemp on May 7, 1941, in Waterloo. He preceded her in death on July 3, 1985.
The couple raised their family in Cedar Falls. Mary most recently was a resident of NorthCrest Specialty Care in Waterloo.
Survived by: six daughters, Barb (Paul) Wagner, Carol Cox, Nan (Doug) Corwin, and Jody (Greg) Blanchard, all of Waterloo, Sue (Jerry) Sabin of Easton, Kan., and Mary Ann (Jay) Hess of Fairbank; three sons, Pete (Connie) Kemp of Amboy, Ill., Joe (Sue) Kemp and Tim (Kathe) Kemp, both of Cedar Falls; many grandchildren, great grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; two brothers, Kenneth and Robert Satterlee; a son-in-law, Don Cox; and two grandchildren.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery, both in Waterloo. Visitation will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. today at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Monday at the church.
