RICHTER-CROWLEY
One of the prettiest weddings of the season occurred last Thursday morning at St. Mary's church when Miss Clara Richter and Mr. Daniel Crowley were united in the holy bonds of wedlock. Rev. Father O'Rielly officiated at a double ring ceremony.
Promptly at 9:30 o'clock Miss Zita Quin, of Algona, played Mendelssohn's wedding march to the strains of which the bridal party proceeded to the altar where Father O'Rielly pronounced the words that made them husband and wife, after which a nuptial high mass was celebrated.
The bride was attended by the groom's sister, Miss Florence Crowley and the bride's brother, Mr. Edward Richter acted as best man.
The bride was attired in a gown of heavy white pussy willow tatteta trimmed in silver lace. She wore a tulle veil caught up with a bridal roses and a corsage bouquet of the same. The bride's maid wore a becoming gown of canary crepe de chine set with a corsage bouquet and a wreath of roses in her hair. The groom and the groom's man wore dark blue serge suits.
Immediately after the ceremony the bridal couple, relatives and guests numbering about 75 repaired to the bride's home where a bountiful four course dinner was served. The rooms were daintily decorated in yellow and white and bridal and bridal roses hung from the chandelier over the bride's table which seated twelve people. Small tables were used throughout the other rooms so all were served at noon.
The bride is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.F. Richter, a graduate of St. Mary's school in the class of 1912 and since that time has been a successful teacher in the Smith school. She is an accomplished young lady of very pleasing personality and happy disposition and is sure to make a loving wife and keep sunshine in the home. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. James Crowley and has grown to manhood on his father's farm in Lyon county. He is a promising young man of integrity and good habits and is worthy of the bride he has won.
The happy couple left the same evening for a week in the Twin Cities. They will be at home after March fifteenth at Canby, Minn.
Mr. and Mrs. Crowley have the best wishes of a host of friends for their future happiness.
