Virginia Alcorn, 76, of Yeadon, a former employee of Curtis Publishing Co., died Dec. 18 at Crozer-Chester Medical Center, Upland.
Born in Waterloo, Iowa, Miss Alcorn was a graduate of West Philadelphia High School who had lived in Yeadon and Holmes for many years before moving to Thornton. She was employed as a clerk by Curtis Publishing Co. in Philadelphia for 30 years before her retirement in 1980.
Surviving are two sisters, Margaret McIlvain of Glen Mills and Martha Coffman of Roswell, Ga. and several nieces.
A graveside service will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday at Edgewood Memorial Park, Concord. Arrangements are by the Minshall-Shropshire Funeral Home of Middletown.
