Married: Mr. Henry Koltzie to Miss Anna Richter at the Catholic church in this city Wednesday morning, Rev. Father Phelan officiating. This happy young couple is well known in this vicinity. Mr. Koltzie is a good steady, industrious and deserving young man, and the bride is an estimable young lady, admired for her virtues and charming qualities by all. Former Resident Burial Service Here on Monday
The burial service for Mrs. Henry Koltze, former Rock Valley resident, was held here Monday at St. Mary's cemetery, with Rev. David McGoey officiating at the graveside service. Funeral mass had been held at 9 a.m. in the Holy Redeemer at Marshall, Minnesota, with Father Neudecker officiating.
Mrs. Koltze was born Anna Marie Richter on July 9, 1878 at Burlington, Wisconsin, the daughter of John and Mary Richter. She came with her parents to Rock Valley in 1884 and resided here for 30 years. She married Henry Koltze in 1898 and to this union nine children were born: Lucy, John, Sadie, Julia, Frederick, Kathryn, Margaret, Alfred and Agnes-all married.
In 1914 the family moved to a farm near Minneota, Minnesota. Mr. Koltze retired in 1940 and the family moved to Marshall, Minnesota. It was there that Mrs. Koltze died.
Other survivors include 24 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, three sisters: Mrs. Kate Rossmiller of Burlington, Wisconsin; Mrs. Clarence Ogden of Lennox, South Dakota; and Miss Julia Richter of Rock Valley; two brothers-Lawrence and Alfred Richter of Rock Valley.
