Julia Richter, 77, dies; services held today
Julia Richter, 77, died at Sacred Heart Hospital, Le Mars, at 8:45 p.m. Monday.
Miss Richter was the third daughter of Mr and Mrs John Richter born at Burlington, Wis. She grew up and attended school in the Rock Valley vicinity. Her Mother died in 1905 and Julia took over the management of the home for her father, which she continued to do until his death in 1923,
Miss Richter was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs Kate Rosmiller of Burlington, Wis. and Mrs Anna Koltze of Marshall, Minn, and two brothers, John and Alfred, Rock Valley.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs Josephine Ogden of Lennox, S.D. and Lawrence Richter of Rock Valley; also several nieces and nephews.
Miss Richter was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church and St. Mary's Guild. About four years ago she retired to the geriatrics ward of Sacred Heart hospital, where she died.
Funeral services were held Thursday morning (today) at 9:00 a.m., Rev. Father Reinhart officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery.
