DEATH OF JOHN B. RICHTER
John B. Richter passed away in the hospital at Cherokee, Iowa, last Thursday. He had been taken there for treatment a few weeks earlier. He had not been in good health since he became overheated about two months ago.
Mr. Richter was born near Rock Valley in May, 1890, and was past forty-three years of age at the time of his death. Practically all his life was spent in this vicinity and he was well known here. He had the respect of all who knew him.
Mr Richter leaves four sisters and two brothers besides other relatives in Rock Valley and vicinity. His sisters are Julia Richter of Rock Valley, Mrs. Rosemuller of Burlington, Wis., Mrs. Clarence Ogden of Lennox, S.D., and Mrs. Henry Koltze, of Minneota, Minn. The brothers are Al Richter, Rock Valley and Lawrence Richter who lives near Hudson. All of whom were present at the funeral services.
Funeral services were held in St. Mary's church in Rock Valley Saturday morning and the remains were taken to St. Mary's cemetery.
