Paul F. Fauser, 70, of 116 Bymbrae St., died Monday, March 30, at Covenant Medical Center of heart failure.
He was born June 24, 1921, in Fayette, son of Peter H. and Alma L. Lantz Fauser. He married Evelyn Rudolph April 4, 1948, in Dunkerton.
Mr. Fauser worked for Iowa Public Service Co. as a bookkeeper for five years. He was also a barber for 25 years in Dunkerton. He worked for US West Communications as a bookkeeper for seven years. retiring in 1986.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in European theatre from 1942-45.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Colleen Rowenhorst of Waterloo; three grandchildren; a brother, Victor of Cedar Falls; three sisters, Maxine Koehler and Anna Mae Sellers, both of Oelwein, and Barbara Doughty of Hudson; he was preceded in death by a sister, Rita Paul.
Services will 10 a.m. Friday at First Reformed Church in Evansdale with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, where graveside military rites will be performed by Becker-Chapman Post 138 of American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1623.
Friends may call at Chapel of Memories-West Funeral Home from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday and for an hour before services at the church on Friday.
