Gwendolyn A. Baldwin, 97, of Waterloo, formerly of Jesup, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo.
She was born Jan. 19, 1913, near Jesup, daughter of Charles E. Leary and Beulah Mae Trumbauer Leary. She married Harry Nicholas Baldwin on April 23, 1930, in Traer. He died July 7, 1981.
The couple farmed near Jesup, retiring in 1975. Mrs. Baldwin was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survived by: a son, Douglas (Maureen) Baldwin of Holmes Beach, Fla.; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: a son, Charles Edwin Baldwin; three brothers, Lloyd, Raymond and Robert Leary; and a sister, Ramona Forney.
Services: 2 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, with burial in Cedar Crest Cemetery, both in Jesup. Public visitation for an hour before services Saturday at the church.
