RUTH VERNA (WOESSNER) LEARY

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home for Mrs. Lloyd (Ruth V.) Leary, Freeport Route 2, who died Tuesday morning (October 8, 1968) in Freeport Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. The Rev. George F. Shepherd, pastor of First Presbyterian Church here, will officiate. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established for the Cancer Fund. Mrs. Leary, a member of the First Presbyterian Church, was born July 7, 1908 in Shannon, daughter of George F. and Orpha (Hoy) Woessner. She was married to Lloyd Leary March 4, 1933 in Shannon. Surviving are her husband; two sons, Wallace and Gerald, both of rural Freeport; four grandchildren; three brothers, Howard and Paul, both of Shannon, and Orville of Freeport; a sister, Mrs. Milo Aspinwall of Shannon; and her stepmother, Mrs. George F. (Myrtle) Woessner of Shannon. Her parents and two brothers preceded her in death.
