Age 79. Passed away Tuesday, May 25, 1982, at Memorial Hospital in Burlington. She was born in Burlington Township on November 14, 1902, to Alphonsus and Gertrude (Krift) Richter. Her early life was spent in Burlington Township and she attended St. Alphonsus School in New Munster. On April 18, 1928, at St. Alphonsus Church, she was united in marriage to Edward J. Schlitz. They had lived in Burlington since 1928. Mrs. Schlitz was a housewife, member of St. Charles Catholic Church, and Anne's Society of the Church. Surviving are her husband, Edward J. Schlitz of Burlington; one daughter and son-in-law, Rose Ann (Richard) Foltz; two sons and three daughters-in-law, Wayne (Nancy) Schlitz, Richard (Deborah) Schlitz, Camille Schlitz, all of Burlington; eight grandchildren; one brother, Lawrence Richter of Wheatland. She was preceded in death by one son, John, and three brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 27, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church, Burlington. Rev. Raymond Andre will officiate. Interment will be at St. Charles Cemetery, Burlington. Friends may call at the SCHUETTE-DANIELS FUNERAL HOME, 157 S. Pine St., Burlington, on Thursday from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m.
