Rose Marie Ogden nee Caygill, age 81, died on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Kinnic Health and Rehab in River Falls. Rose Marie was born to Alick and Elizabeth (Redmond) Caygill on July 6, 1936 in Fond du Lac, WI. She was raised in Madison, WI and graduated from Edgewood High School in 1955 and from St. Mary's School of Nursing in Madison in 1958. In 1958, she met Francis Ogden and they united in marriage on February 6, 1960. Together they had 1 daughter and 2 sons. During their marriage, she lived in California, Eau Claire, and in River Falls at their home near the University, Comforts of Home and most recently The Kinnic Home. Rose Marie and Francis enjoyed going for walks with their dogs and being active members at St. Bridget Catholic Church for 49 years. Rose Marie was an avid reader and belonged to local book clubs as well as a collector of many treasures, stuffed animals were her favorite. Rose Marie enjoyed animals and took care of the family hunting dogs and loved to feed squirrels, birds and rabbits around the yard. At age 11, she lost a year of school when she contracted Polio in her throat. She had side effects of Polio her entire life and for the last nine years had to have a feeding tube as her throat was no longer operable. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alick and Elizabeth. Rose Marie is survived by her husband, Francis; children, Teresa (Tom) Repaal of Eau Claire, WI, Michael (Rebecca) Ogden of Carmichael, CA, Daniel (Robyn) Ogden of Marshall, WI; grandchildren, Autumn, Alec and Trevor Ogden; brother, Richard Caygill of Milwaukee, WI. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Bridget Catholic Church (211 E Division St.) in River Falls. Visitation will also be Wednesday from 9-11 am at the church. Arrangement are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of River Falls.
