Two county residents drowned in separate mishaps in the county over the weekend.
Thomas Warren, 20, Wheatland Township, lost his life early Sunday while swimming in a gravel pit at Hys. NN and J. His body was recovered by the Silver Lake Rescue Squad at 7:45 a.m.

Warren was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Warren, Wheatland Township. He was born in Burlington, Wis., June 23, 1950, and was educated in the schools of Burlington. He was a graduate of Salem Central High School.
A carpenter, he was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, Burlington, and the Wheatland Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors in addition to his parents include three brothers, William, Robert and Jerry, all at home, and two sisters, Mrs. Gerald (Joyce) Poepping, and Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) Meyers, both of Burlington.

WARREN-Funeral services for the late Thomas J. warren, Rt. 3, Burlington who passed away July 19, 1970, will be held on Tuesday, July 21, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church, Burlington, Interment St. Charles Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Monday (today) at the McCarthy-Rueter Funeral Home, 473 Milwaukee Avenue, Burlington, Wisconsin. Rosary services will be held at 8 p.m. Monday evening.
